Welcome to my collection of watercolor paintings. Watercolor is a wonderful and sometimes whimsical medium. I’ve always enjoyed working with it. Here are some of my favorites from over the years.
First, is a painting of my father-in-law and his grandson. It was a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law a few years ago. I call it “George & Chris – Waiting For Spring”. Second is a pet portrait painting of a lively yellow Labrador retriever named Mac. I painted it as a commission for a customer when I lived in Lake City.
Third is a watercolor painting of a sunset on Lake Pepin in Lake City, MN. There are fishermen at the point and you can see the Wisconsin bluffs. I still have the original. Fourth is a black Buick Grand National car painted in watercolor. It was a challenge to get the blacks to be dark enough via many layers of paint. Lastly, I have shown a painting of a couple of cocker spaniel dogs named Mickey and Thumper. That one was one of my first professional watercolor paintings.
